Shutter Speed

The setting for the picture perfect was ISO of 400 and shutter speed of 8 seconds. We chose those settings because we wanted to allow enough light in our picture so it would look as if it wasn't dark in the room. We managed to make the picture look like we wanted but it was a little dark maybe if we would of added more seconds to the shutter speed we would of gotten what we wanted. Shutter speed iin our picture interacted with ISO because we chose how fast we wanted it and it was the right speed. With aperature we didn't do anything in the S mode. In our other picture we were suppose to be creative with the light. We had trouble doing so until we thought of doing 2009 with the light of the phones. We chose 2009 because all the team members are graduating this year. In that picture we had our camera set to the ISO to 200 and the sutter speed was 10 seconds.

ISO: Film Speed

ISO refers to how sensitive to your camera is to light. Its film speed refering to how fast or slow the light goes into your camera. In an ISO of 50 the light that would go into your camera wouldn't be as fast as an ISO of 5000. In this project we were suppose to take pictures of our partners next to the christmas lights with the flash on and with different numbers of ISO. When we took the picture with the flash on you couldn't even tell that the lights were actually christmas lights and in the one's with the ISO you can see them clearly. I would choose to change my ISO depending on the light in the place were the picture is going to be taken. I would choose it over flash because it would show the actual colors of the picture. When using ISO you have to be careful with using too much ISO because your pictures can come out noisy...

Fill in Flash Experiment

Fill in flash is when your camera flashes every time you take a picture whether its in the night, day or if it needs it or not. You would use fill in flash when your picture are a little too dark. You use it in order to add a little more light to your pictures. My photos are examples of this because i was placed in a dark spot and my background was really bright so we used the fill in flash i didn't come out so dark. In the other situation we used it was when my partner had a shadow over her and when we used the fill in flashed the shadow wasn't as dark and allowed us to see her face clearer.

Metering

Light metering is basically the light goes into the camera. In this two pictures I took one was suppose to be real dark with just the computer monitor bright but it didn't turn out that way. My focus should have been on the monitor instead of my partner. Both my pictures the focus was on my partner. In the future I think this will help for when i need to add more light in my pictures.
